Jones sentenced

Former Grambling clerk receives 10 years

On Monday when she was scheduled for trial, Elizabeth Louise Jones entered a plea of guilty to five counts of felony theft as charged by the state of Louisiana.

Third Judicial District Judge Wayne Smith sentenced the former assistant town clerk for the City of Grambling to a term of imprisonment of 10 years at hard labor on each of the counts of felony theft. Pursuant to the terms of the plea agreement, four years will be served without the benefit of a suspension of sentence.
