Resident: Make recycling the norm


This letter is written in response to Patrick Boyd’s article in The Ruston Daily Leader on Jan. 5 concerning recycling.

Yes, our local governing bodies are making a good deal of progress with recycling. But we need to involve more people and businesses in recycling their paper and hazardous materials such as fluorescent bulbs, tires, paints, batteries, etc.   Perhaps more attention should be given to making recycling the norm and not just a “hobby” to participate in occasionally.
