Students focus on careers, recyclable art projects

Second grade

Mrs. Victoria Kent’s second-grade students have been extremely busy learning new and interesting concepts in class. In social studies, our second graders closely explored the importance of skills and education in choosing a career and the need for interdependence within the local community. The class hosted a “Career Day” in which second graders were permitted to dress up in the career attire of their choice. Students then did a poster presentation of their chosen career while highlighting education, skills and tools needed in their profession. We had future FBI agents, doctors, nurses, SWAT agents, neurosurgeons, teachers, private investigators, pro football players and CEOs to name a few.
