Residents of Grambling hit the streets Saturday for a day of fun and festivities as the city’s Juneteenth celebration continued.

Music, food and activity filled Main Street and Grambling City Park, starting with the 41st annual festival parade which sent city residents scrambling for candy thrown by the likes of the Gallot Trio — Rick Sr., Mildred and Rick Jr., who served as grand marshals for the parade.
“It’s just great getting to be a part of all of this and see everyone having so much fun,” said Gallot Jr., a state senator.
