DART holds candlelight vigil

On Thursday, while families were making their way through the neighborhoods trick or tricking, members of the community came together in remembrance of the 31 people who lost their lives due to domestic violence in Lincoln, Union, Jackson, Bienville and Claiborne parishes.

At 6 p.m. that night, the Domestic Abuse Resistance Team hosted a candlelight vigil in the community room at the Lincoln Parish Library.

Terrie Queen Autrey, community advocate for DART said this year’s candlelight vigil grew to be the biggest one yet.
