Lincoln Parish voters go to the polls Saturday to decide the fate of a $21 million public school improvement package and to help elect a new 5th District congressman.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Voters should bring photo identification.

While all local voters can cast ballots in the congressional runoff between Republicans Vance McAllister, of Swartz, and state Sen. Neil Riser, of Columbia, only voters who live in Ruston School District No. 1 are eligible to vote on the tax extension that will fund the school improvement program.
