Louisiana legislators combating the implementation of Common Core may get their wish earlier than expected.

Originally, a national Common Core standardized test was supposed to have been implemented at the end of this school year (2013-14) but in November of 2013, the Louisiana Department of Education decided to postpone the new test called PARCC (developed by the Partnership for the Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers).
