Cypress Springs Elementary teacher Sarah Wages is starting to realize what a good decision it was to introduce a robotics program as an after-school option for her elementary students.

Third, fourth and fifth graders at the school have embarked on a journey to delve into Science, Technology, Engineering and Math research and although robotics may seem advanced for 8-, 9- and 10-year-olds, Wages said her students’ accomplishments have exceeded all of her expectations.

“These projects are so vital to students’ ability for critical thinking,” Wages said.
