When I was a kid, the women on TV that I looked up to were not the ones running (and bouncing) up and down the beach on Baywatch. They weren’t the girls with the latest fashion and never-ending boyfriend drama on Beverly Hills 90210.

They wore suits, they spoke with clarity, their hair was meticulously coiffed and they wanted to get to the bottom of things — I looked up to reporters.
