City of Grambling bites the bullet

With money tight in everyone’s budget these days, it only makes sense that Grambling residents would be a tad worried after recent board of aldermen meetings.

During a board meeting last month, the board voted to reduce the number of hours each employee would be able to work — from 80 to 70.

This included all offices under the city of Grambling such as the mayor’s office, fire department and police department, etc.

The reason behind their initial vote was to cut the budget deficit the city was encountering.
