Jessica Franks, of Ruston, and Jordan Chiasson, of Thibodaux, joined in holy matrimony during a 6 p.m. ceremony July 19 at The Bridge Community Church.

The bride is the daughter of Marvin and Connie Franks, of Ruston. She is the granddaughter of Charles and Charlene Satcher, of Alexandria, and the late Marvin and late Ivy Franks.

The groom is the son of Mitch and Lisa Chiasson, of Thibodaux. He is the grandson of Donald and Karen Loupe, of Morgan City, the late Neddie Chiasson and Doris Picou, of Thibodaux.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a vintage-inspired gown created in re-embroidered Alencon lace and French tulle. The strapless sweetheart neckline was traced in pearl beading and cluster beading embellished a satin sash at the Empire waist. Ivory Alencon lace with delicate beading formed the fitted silhouette. A trumpet skirt was adorned with French lace applique, which extended to a magnificent Tiffany train. The fingertip length veil was adorned with crystal accents.

Serving the bride as maids of honor were Megan Franks and Mikayla Franks, both of Ruston. Amber Halbrook, of Shreveport, served as the matron of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Kelsey Shull, of Carthage, Texas, Victoria Kamphuis, of Shreveport, Hannah Clark, of Ruston, and Renee Chiasson, of Thibodaux. The bridesmaids wore blush chiffon gowns with a slight sweetheart neckline, ruching detail with a cummerbund waist and a long, flowing skirt. Each carried a bouquet of ivory hydrangeas.

Serving the groom as best man was Evan Chiasson, of Thibodaux. Groomsmen were Ryne Allen, of Shreveport, David Lamonte, of Baton Rouge, Andrew Halbrook, of Ruston, Trevor Boudreaux, of Thibodaux, Luke Clement, of Thibodaux, and Drew Ledet, of Thibodaux.

Serving as ushers were Kyle Balius, of Mandeville, Rob Wied, of Canandaigua, New York, Joseph Marcello, of Thibodaux, and Mason Jouclas, of Thibodaux.

Claire Mahler, of Garden City, Michigan, served as the book attendant. Program attendants were Hannah and Abbey Matejowsky, both of Ruston. Music was provided by pianist Mary Celia Hanchey, soloist Sutton Davison and the band Cane River Soul.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the National Guard Armory in Ruston. Linda Peevy served as the caterer for the event. Megan Mechelle Photography provided photography.
