The Cotton Country Open Horse Show Association’s annual season is nearly drawing to a close.

Beginning at 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday, the organization will have their fourth out of five annual shows at the Northeast Louisiana Exhibition Center, located on Highway 33. Typically, approximately 50 individuals show up to test their mettle against the other horses and riders.

“You can come and enter the day of the show,” Loyce Miller, a long-time member of the organization, said. “Any horse is welcome, this is an open horse show. Negative Coggins (test) is all that is required.”
