I want to respond to Joe Bleich’s column in your Opinions page on the Second Amendment. Specifically, the writers insistence that criminals, the bad guys, are the cause of all the gun violence of today. I believe that the writer got it wrong.

There is a reality of insustainability in his argument. I say this because it is not the violent crime committed by bad guys that are most troublesome. We, as citizens, have come to terms with that type of gun crime. We almost expect that from the worst of the worst.
