This past month, which was National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, I’ve spent a lot of time learning, thinking and writing about domestic violence.

While Ruston and Lincoln Parish are amazing — you only have to consider the recent designation from USA Today that named us as one of the most charming small towns in the South for verification — we’re unfortunately not free of this societal blight.
