Many of you know I used to teach. Even though I only did it for one year, I learned quickly that a good teacher not only connects with his or her students on a psychological level, but an emotional level as well, which is why you hear so many teachers refer to their students as their “kids.”

A true educator cares deeply for each of them, and when I saw one of my former “kids” on the cover of Justified I got pretty upset.

The thought process is supposed to be, “innocent until proven guilty,” but that pretty much goes out the window when people see your mug shot plastered on a page.
