It’s sad that women have an entire month dedicated to recognizing their achievements. African-Americans have the same luxury, as do those of Hispanic heritage.

But what about the men and women who have made it possible for these commemorative months to be celebrated in the first place?

What do these heroic men and women, who are both young and old, receive? One day, a single day of recognition for their service.

Fourteen years ago patriotism was at its peak, just as it was nearly 73 years ago when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor.
