Members of Ruston’s city management team are (from left) Executive Assistant Jennifer Croxton; parks and recreation Director Wes Barton; Economic Development Administrator Kristi Lumpkin, Assistant to the Mayor/City Communications Director Kourtney Keim, Mayor Ronny Walker, Daily Operations Manager James Austin, police Chief Steve Rogers, fire Chief Chris Womack, Public Works Director Darrell Caraway and City Clerk/Treasurer Emmett Gibbs.

Ruston Mayor Ronny Walker has finished putting together his management team.

The nine-person team includes representatives from each major city department, plus the assistant to the mayor and daily operations manager. Both the mayoral assistant and operations positions are new.

“My philosophy is to have more people involved in the decision-making process for our city. This is especially helpful as we begin working on our 2016 budget as each department is able to see the needs of the entire city rather than only their department’s needs,” Walker said Tuesday in announcing the team.
