Having fun with ‘Color Me Calm’

When I first heard of the “Color Me Calm” books, I was a little skeptical. How can a coloring book — I’m sorry, a Zen coloring book — truly calm someone? I mean, it wasn’t really that calming when I was in daycare, let alone now.

So, I decided to figure out why this trend was so popular among adults, and not just young adults, but people throughout each stage of life.

Rebecca Cloud, a staff member at the Lincoln Parish Library, said that because of to the calming nature of the books, the library has begun a “Color Your Way to Calm” workshop.
