Doctor substitutes other methods for narcotics

The dependence of patients in severe pain on narcotics is something that is troubling to Interventional Physiatrist Navneet Sharma.

“Narcotic medications have become such a tremendous issue in our society,” he said. “Society in general is struggling to tackle the problem and there are so many different factors involved with that.”

Having just come out of his medical residency, Sharma said he was taught a new school of thought when it comes to narcotics.
