Lectures cite local ties to Civil War through World War II

The Lincoln Parish Museum’s Fall Chautauqua series kicks off Tuesday evening with a lecture about the Civil War in North Louisiana.

The series continues each Tuesday evening in October. All of the lectures are free and open the public. The hour-long presentations begin at 6 p.m.

Other lectures in the series, which this year emphasizes the area’s military involvement, are “The Kidd Family Legacy,” on Oct. 11, “World War II on the Home Front and the V-12 Training Program” on Oct. 18 and “Camp Ruston: A World War II POW Camp,” on Oct. 25.
