Louisiana’s top five U.S. Senate candidates spent 90 minutes answering questions from reporters and each other Tuesday night in the first televised debate of the primary election season.

Republicans Charles Boustany, John Fleming and John Kennedy, and Democrats Foster Campbell and Caroline Fayard squared off in the event held at Louisiana Tech University and sponsored by the Council for A Better Louisiana and Louisiana Public Broadcasting.
