The safety of Lincoln Parish children is a top priority for everyone in the community.
Following the tragic death of a 10-month-old Ruston boy last year at Elmore D. Mayfield Park on Martin Luther King Avenue, the city and community members decided it was best to move the playground set at the park to a safer position.

With the help up the Ruston Parks and Recreation Department and Louisiana Tech University’s “Tech Without Borders,” the project to move the playground finally came to fruition.
