Tech alumnus says push for CUSA


The year has brought about an unprecedented whirlwind of changes to the conference landscape of college athletics. The pending departures of Boise State, Fresno State, Nevada and now likely Hawaii from the Western Athletic Conference have hit incredibly close to home. The WAC has been a blessing to our university in terms of money, prestige and national exposure for the past decade, but in two short years the status quo will come to an abrupt ending. Frankly, the stark reality is that membership in the WAC after 2012 is not a sustainable position for Louisiana Tech University.
