Former Lincoln Parish Police Juror Annie Brown is being remembered today for her “heart of gold” and dedication to the community causes in which she was involved.

Brown, 88, died July 5. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Rocky Valley Baptist Church in Grambling.

“Mrs. Brown will be deeply missed. She has helped a lot of people — not just in District 10, but in all of the districts,” Nancy Wilson, Brown’s successor in the District 10 seat, said.

“She is very well known and she had a heart of gold, and she does have a legacy that remains to be filled.”
