Norsworthy, Brown celebrate wedding

Heather Denise Norsworthy, of Ruston, and Caleb Austin Brown, also of Ruston, were united in marriage on July 29 at 2 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church in Ruston.

The Rev. David Harrell performed the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Jeff Norsworthy, of Ruston, and the granddaughter of Hedy Norsworthy, of Ruston, and the late Gervais Norsworthy.

The groom is the son of Clay and Cheri Brown, of Ruston. He is the grandson of the late Rev. Cliff Brown and Olene Brown, and of Jack E. Vines of Downsville, and the late Frances Yvonne Fleming.

The bride was radiant in her lovely formal off-the-shoulder wedding gown of ivory lace with elbow-length sleeves and illusion neckline. The tulle A-line skirt was accented with beads and sequins, which continued in the flowing Chapel train. Her veil was one tier mid-length with beaded design.

The bridal bouquet was a spring flower mix of coral, mint green, and burlap provided by Dean of Flowers of Farmerville.

The bridesmaids wore knee-length coral dresses of their choosing and boots. They carried spring mix bouquets.

Kadie Norsworthy, of Ruston, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Katy Temple, of Sterlington; Anna Grace Dowling, of Simsboro; and Taylor Baskin, of Dubach.

Kyle Temple, of Sterlington, was best man. Groomsmen were Adam Brown, of Bossier City; Stetson Hickman, of Amite; and Dusty Phillips, of Haughton.

Ushers were Jared Norsworthy, of Ruston; and Zachary Miller, of West Monroe.
Flower girl was Bree Norsworthy, of West Monroe. Ring bearers were Carson Brown, of Bossier City; and Aaron Norsworthy, of West Monroe.

Scripture reader was Clint Norsworthy, of St. Louis, Missouri. Book attendants were Lanie Hickman, of Amite; and Tory Phillips, of Haughton.

Annette Murphy provided the music. Jessica Bohn Photography, of Bossier City, was the event photographer.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Temple Baptist Church. Serving were Temple Baptist Church friends of the bride’s grandmother. The bride and groom’s cakes were provided by Annette Murphy.

Prior to the ceremony, a rehearsal dinner was held July 28 at Lincoln Parish Park. The event was catered by Linda Peevy and hosted by Clay and Cheri Brown.

After a honeymoon to Tennessee, the couple will reside in Ruston.

A miscellaneous bridal shower was held June 3 at Emory Community Center, in Choudrant. Hostesses were Nancy Collie, Donna Dowling, Bethany Collie, Sarah Grace Collie and Anna Grace Dowling.

A miscellaneous bridal shower was held June 11 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Hostesses were Kathy Mitchell and the Emmanuel Baptist Church Daycare co-workers.

A miscellaneous bridal shower was held June 17 at Ruston’s Historic Fire Station. Hostesses were Katy Temple, Anna Grace Dowling, Taylor Baskin, and Kadie Norsworthy.

A kitchen and recipe shower was held July 15 at First Baptist Church, Choudrant. The ladies of the church were hostesses.
