Question: I am a reasonably successful professional who enjoys his work.
I saw my father save and scrimp, only to die less than one year after he retired. It was such a waste. I am determined not to be that way. I do not ever plan to retire. My philosophy is to live for today and not save a bunch of money for a day I may never reach.
This worries my wife to no end and has been the source of endless arguments. Is my thinking legitimate?

Answer: You have determined that you will never retire. But why stop there?
