Aston, Zachry unite in holy matrimony

Taylor Marie Aston, of Choudrant, and Justin Lann Zachry, of Choudrant, were united in holy matrimony during a 5:30 p.m. ceremony on Sept. 30 at Creekwood Gardens. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Tim Kennedy.

The bride is the daughter of Brian and Carole Aston, of Ruston. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar and Margaret Aston, of Ruston; and Ms. Estee Echols and the late Roy W. Echols, of Ruston.

The groom is the son of Cindy Ludwig, of Choudrant, and Jay Zachry, of Ruston. He is the grandson of Richard and Carol Zachry, of Simsboro; and William and Ann Patton, of Choudrant.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She wore a Venus Bridal fit and flare gown with shining champagne satin beneath an overlay of white English lace. The dress had a V-shaped neckline and a keyhole back. Her veil was fingertip length with beading around the edges. The bride’s bouquet was made of white hydrangeas, white proud roses, green Hypercom berries and lavender limonium filler wrapped in satin ivory ribbon.

Haley Aston Hogan, of Choudrant, served as matron of honor. Serving the bride as bridesmaids were Summer LeBlanc, of Weston; Chelsey Munholland, of Grayson; Brooke Martin, of Saline; Lexi Henry, of Start; Karson Aaron, of Pioneer; and Addison Patton, of Choudrant. Paisley Ludwig and Norah Sury, of Arlington, Texas, served as flower girls.

Travis Cobb, of Choudrant, served as best man. Serving as groomsmen were Blake Nunn, of Choudrant; Luke Patton, of Choudrant; Logan Aaron, of Pioneer; Logan Read, of Eros; Layton Martin, of Ruston; and Brian Bond, of Choudrant.

Music for the ceremony was provided by JJ’s Entertainment.

Before the ceremony, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner on Sept. 29 at Creekwood Gardens.

Prior to the wedding, a number of celebrations were held to honor the bride and groom.

A couple’s wedding shower was held on Sept. 16 at Patton Service Company. Serving as hostesses were Cindy Patton, Bridget Griffin, Amie Skipper, Nita Magee and Yvette Bond.

A lingerie shower was held on Sept. 23 in Shreveport. Cindy Patton, Bridget Griffin and Amie Skipper served as hostesses for the event.

A bridesmaid’s brunch took place on Sept. 29 at The Emory House of Choudrant. Serving as hostesses were Carole Aston, Margaret Aston and Haley Hogan.

After a honeymoon to Eureka Springs, Arkansas, the couple will make their home in Choudrant.
