Rescues find homes in California

Last month, more than 110 dogs and 30 cats were sent on their way to San Diego as part of the biggest transportation of shelter animals seen in North Louisiana.

Two Rescue Express buses left 4 Paws Rescue on the morning of Sept. 19 carrying the animals first to foster families, and then their forever homes.

“They have all adjusted pretty well and some of them are still in foster care,” Taylor Holtslaw, assistant 4 Paws Rescue shelter manager, said. “Some are with dog trainers, while I think one was pulled to be a service dog.”
