Parish schools earn ‘A’ from state ed department

For the first time in its history, the Lincoln Parish School system has been designed an “A” system by the Louisiana Department of Education.

The 2017 rankings were released this morning in Baton Rouge. The system earned its “A” by increasing its District Performance Score to 100.4, up from 96 last year.

School Superintendent Mike Milstead said he is “extremely proud” of the accomplishment.
