Baker, Cain unite in marriage

Anne-Marie Baker, of Choudrant, and Jacob Cain, of Ruston, were united in holy matrimony at 3 p.m. Nov. 18 at Douglas United Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Steve and Judy Baker, of Choudrant; and the granddaughter of Kathleen Baker, of Choudrant, and the late Davis Baker; Hilda Lee, of Choudrant, and the late Hosey Lee; and Ted and Jean Barmore, of Dubach.

The groom is the son of Donnie and Judy Cain, of Ruston; and the grandson of the late Woodrow and Dor Cain, of Bastrop; and the late Rev. William and Jenna Gates, of Winnfield.
The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Brother Jeremy Jones.

Escorted by her father, Anne-Marie wore an A-line Casablanca gown with white lace sleeves and an illusion neckline. There were beads and sequins on the skirt. Her veil was one tier, mid-length with lace and a beaded design. She carried a bouquet of silk white and navy calla lilies, blue hydrangeas, ivy, baby’s breath and white roses.

Matrons of Honor were Megan Boyce and Jodi Perritt, of Choudrant.

Bridesmaids were Calyn Bennett, of Choudrant; Jennifer Kassab, of Choudrant; Kylie Farrar, of Choudrant; and Hannah Baker, of Choudrant.

They wore long navy and steel blue dresses with a lace pattern top. Dresses were slit on the side. They carried bouquets of white, navy and steel blue calla lilies.

The Best Man was Elijah Cain, of Ruston. The groomsmen were Grant Kleinpeter, of Ruston; Dusty Baker, of Choudrant; Chase Snow, of Choudrant; Michael Thompson, of Choudrant; and Casey Fenn, of Dallas.

Ushers were Dawson Baker, of Choudrant; Layton Perritt, of Choudrant; and Lawson Perritt, of Choudrant.

Flower girls was Sawyer Perritt, of Choudrant; Leah Baker, of Choudrant; Ellyson Gates, of Winnfield; Elizabeth Baker, of Choudrant; and Baker Boyce, of Choudrant.

Music was provided by Dianne Lord, Kellie Coulter and Hannah Baker.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of Steve and Judy Baker. Serving the groom’s cake was Becky Boyett and Brittany Edwards. Serving the bride’s cake were Morgan, Cassidy and Abagael Barmore.

Before the nuptials, a rehearsal dinner was held at Douglas United Methodist Church hosted by Donnie and Judy Cain.

The couple was honored with several showers.

On Sept. 1, a garden and tool shower was held at Douglas United Methodist Church hosted by Hilda Lee.

On Oct. 14, a church shower was held at Douglas United Methodist Church, hosted by the Women of Douglas United Methodist Church.

On Oct. 21, a miscellaneous shower was held at the home of Steve and Judy Baker, hosted by the bridesmaids.

After a honeymoon to Hot Springs, Arkansas, the couple will live in Ruston.
