Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Evans Pierce, age 90, of Ruston, will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 2, 2019, at Owens Memorial Chapel with the Revs. Bob Deich and Hulen Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Mrs. Pierce was born Feb. 7, 1929, in Baton Rouge, LA. She died in Ruston on July 29, 2019.

Mrs. Pierce was the owner/operator of an Electric Motor Repair Service. She was a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Pierce is survived by her son, Thomas Evans of Ruston; granddaughter, Georgia Grace Evans of Ruston; sister, Flossie Howard of Denham Springs; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family; and her important special friend, Sally Blount of Ruston.
