Head Start gets donation for use at new facility

Ruston’s Paul E. Slaton Head Start Center has received a $5,000 donation from the Louisiana Head Start Association toward relocation to a permanent facility.

Fire destroyed the center’s building on Oakdale Street in October 2017.

The mostly federally funded preschool readiness program has been housed at the Zion Traveler Baptist Church since December.
