Abrahm, Russell to wed

Matthew Abrahm, of Ruston, and Alissa Sutton Russell, of Monterey, are pleased to announce their recent engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Billy Keith Sutton, of Ferriday; and of Brenda Marshall Funderburg, of Ferriday. She is the granddaughter of Eugene and Florence Marshall, and of the late Charlie and Camille Sutton.

Alissa graduated from Monterey High School and in 2012 received a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She is an active member for the Junior League of Monroe and volunteers for KEDM in Monroe. She is currently employed for marketing and communications for the correspondent division of New Penn Financial based out of Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania.

The groom-elect is the son of Billy and Debbie Abrahm, of Ruston. He is the grandson of the late Charles and Louise Abrahm, and of the late George and Syble Evanoff.

Matthew is a 2004 graduate of Ruston High and is also a graduate of LA Delta Community College. He is currently employed by Squan Engineering Services in Monroe.

The couple will wed Nov. 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. in Galveston, Texas.
