Boys and Girls Clubs to begin meal distributions

The Boys and Girls Clubs of North Louisiana is participating in the Summer Food Service Program.

And with area children currently out of school due to the COVID-19 outbreak, meal distribution will begin on Monday and is currently scheduled to run until the end of April under the remaining stay-at-home order timetable set by Gov. John Bel Edwards.

Meals will be provided to all eligible children without charge.

Acceptance and participating requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

Meals will be provided for pick-up at the sites and times as follows:

• Boys and Girls Clubs of North Louisiana, 300 Memorial Dr. in Ruston.

Lunch will be distributed from 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.

• Lincoln Family Housing, 105 Greene Ln. in Ruston. Breakfast will be passed out from 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. on Monday - through Friday and lunch will be distributed from 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. on Monday - Friday.

• Greenwood Recreational Center, 1306 Cornell St. in Ruston. Breakfast will be passed out from 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. on Monday - through Friday and lunch will be distributed from 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.

• Westwood Family Housing, 596 College Ave. in Grambling. Lunch will be distributed from 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.
