Memorial services for Clell Forrest Martin, age 65 of Ruston, will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston with Rev. Larry Emory officiating under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.
Clell was born October 16, 1953 in Monroe and died December 11, 2018 in Shreveport. He served 4 years in the Marine Corps spending 3 of those years as an Embassy Guard in Hamburg, Germany holding the rank of Sergeant. Clell received a National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, 2 Good Conduct Medals, Rifle Sharp Shooter Badge (M-14) and held a Top Security Clearance. He was a very proud Marine and Honorably discharged in 1977. He was also a past Mason of Bernice Lodge #239.
Clell is preceded in death by his mother: Bettye Jo Windham Martin; father: Forrest Wellborn Martin and niece: Sarah Jo Jarmon.
Clell is survived by his daughter: Rebecca and husband Dr. Michael Badruddoja of Tucson, AZ; son: Jonathan Aaron Martin of Dubach, LA; grandsons: Michael and Nicholas Badruddoja; sisters: Sybil and husband Shelby Kelley and Sue and husband Johnny Axton; brother: Paul W. Martin and wife Patti; nieces: Rachel and husband Carey Doyle and Danni and husband Will Treadway; nephews: Paul Wellborn Martin II and Layton Martin and great niece: Hadley Claire Doyle.
