Memorial services for Linda Ann Wright Dick, 68, of Ruston were held 2:00 PM on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Temple Baptist Church. Dr. Reggie Bridges and Rev. Dale Oden will officiate. Interment was at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruston, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Visitation was held Monday, January 7 from 12:00 until time of the service at the church.
Linda was born on July 11, 1950 in Jackson, MS to Franklin Ray Wright, Sr. and Helen Juanita Smith Wright. She attended LA Tech, earning Master's degrees in Education and Counseling. Linda worked as a teacher and counselor with the Lincoln Parish School System. Linda was a member of Temple Baptist Church and belonged to many organizations including LA Teacher's Association, Beta Sigma Phi, and Phi Mu Fraternity, where she was a National Officer. Linda was preceded in death by her parents.
Left to cherish Linda's memory are her husband, Richard Dean Dick of Ruston; children: Ryan Dick and wife Angie of Slidell, LA, Kerri Grant and husband Jay of Ruston, and Jennifer Price and boyfriend York Sheppard of Sterlington, LA; and brother Dr. Frank Wright, Jr. and wife Anne of Madison, MS; grandchildren: Delaney, Madelyn, Sophia, and Jacob Dick; Cohen Gray; Hannah and Ava Price; Madison, Ty, Blake, and Knox Sheppard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and/or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
