Funeral services for Martha Margaret Barnett Boyd, 87, of West Monroe will be held on Friday, January 11 at 1:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church in Dubach. Rev. Connie Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Fellowship Cemetery in Dubach under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Visitation will be Friday, January 11 from 11-1 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church prior to the service.
Martha was a member of Peniel Baptist Church in West Monroe. She enjoyed reading and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Boyd; son, James Robert Boyd; granddaughter, Hope Johnson; 3 infant grandsons; and brother, Louis Barnett.
Left to cherish Martha's memory are daughters: Marsha Boyd and husband Darcy Klug of Lafayette and Fran Boyd Johnson of West Monroe; son Frank Barnett Boyd and wife Catherine of Farmerville; daughter-in-law Kathryn Boyd Roberson and husband Randy of Dubach; siblings; Ann Miller, Sammie Freeman, Patsy Shaw, Lois Pixley, Richard Barnett, and Dinah Brazzel; grandchildren: Mitzi Gaskill, Jamie Boyd, Nicole Boyd Foy, Justin Hancock, and Sterling Day; 9 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the nurses and staff at Alpine Guest Care, Premier Hospice, and Northern Louisiana Medical Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fellowship Baptist Church Building Fund, 6476 Hwy. 151, Dubach, LA 71235.
