Castles at the library

The Lincoln Parish Library continued its take-home activities for the summer reading program last week. Each Monday, kids pick up kits for the next building activity. On June 22, the library featured a special project for the participants.
Using donated and recycled cardboard boxes, toilet paper rolls and paper towel inserts donated from the community, kids built their own castle using the repurposed items and their imagination. The library received 41 castles over the week that will be on display until the end of summer.
Pictured above are some of the results of the children's creativity.
