Highly recruited Ruston High School tight end Ray Parker made it official Wednesday as he inked scholarship papers to continue his football career at LSU.

Joining Parker in signing National Letters of Intent were defensive back Dontay Jackson and offensive tackle Eric Hopkins Jr., who both signed with Texas A&T Junior Colege in Houston.

Despite reports that Parker’s academics could be an issue, LSU signed the 6-5, 250-pound tight end/offensive tackle who was recruited by LSU offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger and defensive line coach Dennis Johnson.
