Benny Mobley

Memorial services for Benny Mobley, age 70 of Dubach, LA, will be held at 11 a.m., Sept. 5, 2020 at Mineral Springs Baptist Church (Fellowship Hall) in Dubach, LA, with Bro. Greg Tipton officiating.

Benny passed away peacefully Sept. 2, 2020, to return to his heavenly home. He graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1968 and was a resident of Shreveport, LA, until his retirement which he returned to his hometown of Ruston, LA.

He loved fishing, gardening, singing, playing piano, listening to gospel and country music, watching NASCAR races and hanging out with his friends. He was a devoted father and loved spending time with his grandkids whom they called “Poppy”. Benny was preceded in death by his parents Ben Mobley and Jereldine (Durrett) Mobley, brother; Rex Mobley. He is survived by his wife Carolyn (Hughes) Mobley, brother; Larry Mobley and wife Nita Mobley, daughters; Ginger Mobley Moreno and husband Chris Moreno, Teri Mobley; son; Christopher “Scotty” Mobley along with five grandchildren, Lucas Moreno, Wyatt Moreno, Brandon Terrell, Megan Terrell and Christian Mobley; nephew Wesley Mobley, niece Heather Mobley and cousins.
