Grambling water: Pay a little now or more later?

Sometimes preparing for the future can be a little costly.

And for the city of Grambling’s water system, the future is now, or at least close to it.

Last November, a good-sized part of Grambling went without water for a few days because of a broken water main that took officials a few days to find a pair.

Grambling’s water system is old and in need of much repair or replacing. That was discussed in this month’s City Council meeting when Henry Schuler of Shuler Consulting talked to the council about the city’s effort since 2009 to upgrade and expand the city’s sewer system.
