Stanley’s lamps are ‘A Shade Above’ the rest

Scott Stanley makes unique, one-of-a-kind lamps out of everyday objects at his shop in Simsboro.

He doesn’t consider himself an artist, but that is exactly what Scott Stanley has become. Giving life to once-forgotten objects and trashed materials, Stanley is creating unique lamps from everyone else’s junk.

“I’ve always worked with my hands, and I love a challenge when it comes to building and designing something,” he said.

“In 2015, I retired because of some health issues. One day, I was messing around in my shop out of boredom and decided to build a lamp out of a bunch of junk I had lying around.”
