Update, Feb. 27, 5 p.m. — Hill has reportedly been found and is safe.

The Ruston Police Department is seeking the public's help locating a missing person in a report released Friday morning.

On Wednesday, 44-year-old Janine Hill was reported to the RPD as missing. Hill is a white female who is approximately 5’5 and 125 pounds. Hill was last seen during the early morning hours on Monday after being discharged from Northern Louisiana Medical Center. Hill was reportedly wearing a blue zip up sweatshirt, white undershirt, multicolored pants, and tennis shoes.

In a Facebook post Thursday night, Judith Null, owner of Ruston Artisans, said Hill has worked at her gallery and was staying in her home. Null said Hill was taken by ambulance from Null's home Sunday morning.

“She had a severe headache, she was nauseous, confused and disoriented,” Null said during a phone call Friday. “This is the first time I’ve ever seen her sick like this, and this is completely out of the ordinary for her. We haven’t gotten any new information. She just walked out of the hospital and that’s all I know.”

In the Facebook post, Null said Hill never called for a ride when she was released from the hospital. Null said she feels Hill may have been afraid to call for a ride because of her disorientation when she was taken to the hospital.

“I am extremely concerned for her safety,” Null said in the Facebook post. “This is not like her. We have checked with people who know her and she has not been seen. Her phone appears to be turned off.”

The RPD is asking anyone with any information regarding Hill’s whereabouts to please contact their office at 318-255-4141.
