Funeral services for Doris Evelyn Christian, age 80, of Arcadia, Louisiana were held at 2 p.m. Thursday March 4, 2021,. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia with burial following at Alabama Cemetery in Arcadia. Officiating the service wasl be Brother Taff Watts.

A visitation will be held from 5 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Arcadia.

Doris was born April 12, 1940, in Bienville, Louisiana and passed away March 1, 2021, in Arcadia, Louisiana.

Preceding Doris in death are her parents, Alton Perry Volentine and Elnora Stevens Volentine; husband, Woodard Christian; grandson, Graham Christian; and sister, Jimmie Jones.

She is survived by her children, Joanie Christian, Bobby Christian and wife Tammy and Todd Christian; grandchildren, Wesley, April, Christopher, Amanda, Travis, Kevin, Haley, Damian, Daniel and Ashley, along with 12 great great grandchildren; brothers, Alton Volentine and wife Barbara, Phillip Volentine and wife Pam, and Dale Volentine; sisters, Ruby Hodges and husband Donnie, Rose Cranford, Nelda Alexander and husband John, and Gail Land, brother-in-law, Tony Jones; along with many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

Honoring Doris as pallbearers were her grandsons, Wesley, Christopher, Travis, Kevin, Damian, and Daniel.
