With faculty and staff throughout the Lincoln Parish school district engaged in professional development, Lincoln Parish STEM Center Director Missy Wooley partnered with Louisiana Tech University’s UTeach Tech program to host a STEM Day for the elementary children of teachers and administrators.
The focus of the day was upcycling as the children created something useful or fun from items discarded or designated for the recycle bin. Above, Mallory Aycock, 7, is seen putting the finishing touches on the animal she created with her materials while right, 9-yearold Ethan Thomason demonstrates his prowess with flying one of the drones.
