Parish public school students will get packets for Friday or have assignments posted on Google Classroom, according to a text from school Superintendent Ricky Durrett.
Both Louisiana Tech and Grambling State universities will hold classes virtually on Friday.
Lincoln Parish could see trace amounts of light freezing rain and sleet tonight as subfreezing temperatures push into the area, according to the National Weather Service. The parish remains under a winter weather advisory until 9 p.m.
Though little or no accumulation is expected, the National Weather Service in Shreveport cautions patches of black ice could form on roadways or exposed surfaces. Isolated power outages could also occur.
