Janice Hammons

Funeral services for Janice Hammons, 81, of Choudrant, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Choudrant.

Rev. Gil Arthur will be officiating, and interment will be immediately following the service at Choudrant Memorial Cemetery in Choudrant under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.

Visitation will be Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Choudrant from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Janice was born August 29, 1940, in Minden, Louisiana, and passed away February 5, 2022, in Choudrant, Louisiana. She was a loving mom and grandmother as well as a very active member at First Baptist Church of Choudrant.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Thera Waldron, brother, Jim Waldron, sister, Pam Johnson, and Rebecca Lynn Hammons, infant daughter.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 64 years, Clinton Hammons; children, Debbie Barnes and husband Jimmy, Sandy Hogan and husband Mike, Sue Harrington and husband Gary, Donnie Hammons and wife Paula; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sister, Wanda Mitchell and husband Dwight.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Barnes, Kody Sasser, Kyle Hogan, Tyler Hogan, Alan Katzenmeyer, CJ Hammons, Matt Harrington, Jeremiah Johnson, and Thomas Paul Hammons.
