Barbara Brasuell

Funeral services for Barbara Brasuell, 80, of Dubach, were held graveside, Monday, November 1, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Kilpatrick Memorial Gardens, Ruston. Dr. Chris Craig officiated.

Barbara was born on July 28, 1941, in Campbell, Texas, and passed away October 28, 2021, in Ruston. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Ruston.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Wilson and Opal Cannon and her husband, Al Brasuell.

Left to cherish Barbara’s memory are her sister, Peggy McNair and husband Jim of Marion; brother, Jerry Cannon and wife Yoshika, of Charleston, South Carolina; sons, Keith Brasuell and wife Melinda of Dubach, and Scot Brasuell and wife Bonnie of Ruston; grandchildren, Erin Brasuell Clement and husband Chris of Dubach, Parker Brasuell and wife Jessica of Ruston, Cannon Brasuell and wife Hannah of Ruston, Jordyn Brasuell Carol and husband Jordan of Madison, Mississippi, Alli Brasuell Moore and husband John David, of Tyler, Texas, Christopher Brasuell of Ruston, Steven Brasuell of Ruston; 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Children’s Department of First Baptist Church of Ruston. The family would like to give a special thanks to the caregivers at Compassus Hospice Care of Ruston, The Arbor & Terrace of Ruston and Ruston Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
