Carolyn Douglas Collier
Carolyn Douglas Collier, 66, of Grambling, LA, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020. She was born on Dec. 12th, 1953, in Arcadia, LA, to Clarence and Earnestine Douglas. She was baptized at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Grambling, Louisiana at an early age and remained a faithful member until the Lord called her home.
Carolyn graduated from Grambling High School in 1971. She was crowned Miss Grambling College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1974. She served in a myriad of capacities at her alma mater, most recently the Executive Director of the Eddie G. Robinson Museum.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Earnestine and Clarence Douglas.
Carolyn is survived by her husband Ewing Collier; children Tiffani “Brandi” James Smith (Kori); T. Brandon “Bruiser” James (Kameka); Bruce Collier, Rhonda Collier and Timothy Collier; one brother Bruce Douglas (Delores). She has seven grandchildren and a host of friends and family that will miss her dearly.
The Family and Friends Hour will be held from 6 - 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020, at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Grambling, LA.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2020, at Mount Zion Baptist Church.
