Catherine Andrea “Cathy” Deason

Catherine Andrea “Cathy” Deason, 60, of Spearsville, LA, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019. She was born September 11, 1958, to Jessie Wayne and Bobby John Moody Deason.

She worked for South Arkansas Regional Health Center asacaseworker.Cathy enjoyed crocheting, and entering her arts and crafts in the Union County Fair. She was devoted to her family.

Preceding her in death are her parents; maternal grandparents, John and Robbie Campbell Moody; and paternal grandmother, Marie Jessie Deason.

Survivors include her brother, Mark Deason (Millie) of Spearsville; nephew, John Wayne Deason; niece, Andrea Deason Lawson (Layne); great niece, Addie Lawson; her canine companion, Baby D; and a host of extended family.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to friends and family and the staff of Ruston Health and Rehab, along with Premiere Hospice for their care for Cathy.

Visitation will be held from 3 - 5 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2019, at Young’s Funeral Home in El Dorado.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Antioch Church of Christ in Spearsville with Tommy Bennett and Paul Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
